University Networks shaping EOSC – A workshop to voice the needs of researchers and research institutions
Keywords: Co-creation, infrastructures, policies, services, University Networks
The EOSC is built to provide more than 1.7 million researchers with an infrastructure of FAIR data and services in order to boost interdisciplinary research in Europe. It is important that the EOSC meets the requirements and expectations of the scientific community. Since researchers are inextricably linked with universities who have the great task of providing infrastructures, services and policies it is necessary to involve the European University Networks in the co-creation process and get their input for the development of the EOSC.
Thus EOSCSecretariat partner TU Wien brings together 35 members of relevant University Networks as well as experts in open science in a by-invitation-only workshop that takes place on the 23rd and 24th January 2020 in Brussels. The goal is to voice the needs of researchers and research institutions with a focus on research infrastructures, policies and services.
The findings of these discussions will be fed directly into the work of the EOSC Governance Board (GB), Executive Board (EB,) Working Groups (WGs) and providing input in the ongoing development processes of the EOSC.
